The Light Party is an FC located on Crystal/Goblin in the Goblet of Ul'dah ran by K'hasumi Masaru. They primarily focus on Mercenary work to help those in need while members also pursuit their own goals.
OUT OF CHARACTER .
ONE . We cannot express this enough, we're casual players here. Real life comes first. That being said we're sprout friendly, here to help with any questions or needs. We will do our best to always have EXP and Travel buffs up. The FC house is currently small but there are rooms available. As far as RP events go some of us go to venues, some of the members work at said venues, and others like to stick to discord for convince.TWO . That being said, we don't expect you to be friends with everyone. But you are expect to be cordial regardless. Don't drag drama into the FC, it's not what it's here for.THREE . General RP etiquette rules apply. We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable in RP. While we do adhere to a generally more mature audience, please remember to warn each other if any triggering topics are going to be brought up, and always strive not to cross the OOC/IC line!
FOUR . All members must be at least 21 years or older. In addition, we do NOT accept underage PCs. No exceptions. If for whatever reason you're going to need excuse yourself from being active within the FC please let an officer know. Any inactive member without notice will be kicked after some time and will have to reapply.

Floating platforms of obsidian and marble rotate lazily in midair. Some are cracked open, revealing blinding cores of aetheric energy that illuminate the space in shifting patterns.Beneath the cubes ethereal flowers bloom in soft patches of grass, their petals translucent and radiant. They glow in a gradient of violet, cyan, and gold, shedding faint trails of light that drift like motes of magic. When a fighter’s strike lands, the flowers shiver and flare brighter, releasing gentle waves of color that ripple across the ring. Petals fly and drift slowly, fading into nothing with each disturbance.This is a space that feels both sacred and dangerous, a battlefield suspended between dimensions where beauty and destruction intertwine.Beyond the fight ring there is a bar and seating for spectators and fans alike. There are themed drinks and appetizers located on a menu setting out on the bar.OOC . This is an event that runs every other Monday, twice a month, from 7pm to 10pm EST. There will be some nights where we run an event called the
Simulacrum fights.
Combat Rules . Combat is broken down into a few simple steps using the /random command.- Both opponents roll initiative. The highest roll wins and attacks first.- The attacking player writes their post in a custom emote using /em. After posting, they roll the die.- The defending player rolls their die to defend. If the defender rolls higher than the attack, they have successfully avoided damage. A lower roll means they have been struck. In the event of a tie, reroll both attack and defense. Regardless, after determining the result, the defender then posts their /emote to show the effect.- Switch roles and repeat. The defender is now on the offensive and the attacker is defending.-First person to win three contests wins the match. ICly, the third hit you take should be the one that causes you to pass out / be knocked out / surrender.
Dark n' Stormy A classic, refreshing highball cocktail that is a simple two or three-ingredient drink made with dark rum, spicy ginger beer, and an optional, but common, lime garnish or lime juice. The name comes from its appearance: a Dark Knight once noted that the drink's color resembled that of incoming darkness.
Vamo alla Flamenco is a sweet and strong drink with prominent flavors of orange, pineapple, and coconut, and often a depth from dark or coffee liqueur. It can be served on the rocks or blended into a frozen slushy.
Fire and Ice a sweet, spicy cinnamon-flavored liqueur served over ice, which chills the drink and mellows the "burn" slightly. The flavor is intensely sweet and cinnamony, often compared to red-hot candies, with a warm, spicy kick that builds after a sip and fades quickly, leaving a pleasant, peppery aftertaste. It might remind one of Transposing between elements.
The Coeurl's Kiss rolanberry and blue liqueur get a little naughty when shaken with ice and levin shards, then get strained into a tall, curvy glass. You'll appreciate the light, and even teasing tingle, and the burn from the excitement of being electrified. If anything this drink may remind you of a certain announcer.
White Magicks a classic three-ingredient cocktail made with vodka, coffee liqueur, and heavy cream, served over ice in a rocks glass. It is known for its rich, creamy, and slightly sweet flavor profile, reminiscent of a boozy iced coffee or dessert drink.
Screwdriver a two-ingredient highball cocktail made with vodka and orange juice. Its straightforward and refreshing flavor makes it a popular choice. It is also said that a machinist is never seen without their screwdriver.
Junction is a cocktail made with rye whiskey (or cognac), a sugar cube, Peychaud's bitters, and an absinthe or anise liqueur rinse. It is a stirred, spirit-forward drink served straight up in an Old-Fashioned glass and garnished with a lemon peel. Also, this is Thancred.
Rose of Ala Mhigo a refreshing cocktail that combines the rich warmth of bourbon with the sweet and fizzy taste of cola, enhanced by the flavor of black cherries. Made by mixing bourbon with black cherry syrup, and then adding cola. This makes a drink that's balanced and indulgent that ranges from sweet, bitter, and a bit of spice. Much like a certain Demon Manager of the Ala Mhigo Liberators.
Popoto Nachos a Far East spin by making a kimchi béchamel to blanket crispy popoto tots, which are then covered in cheese and baked until perfectly gooey. It's then served with more of the Napa cabbage kimchi, sliced chiles, and chopped cilantro to round it all out.
Melon Prosciutto Skewers is an appetizer featuring sweet, juicy melon and salty, savory prosciutto on a skewer, often enhanced with fresh basil and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. This is a delightful contrast of sweet and salty flavors, as well as refreshing. Sometimes including additions like creamy mozzarella or fresh arugula.
Kimbap roll one of the Far East's most popular snacks, can have all sorts of fillings. This very classic version has crab, ham, pickled radish, braised burdock root, egg, carrot, fishcake, and cucumber.
Curry Chicken Wings these crispy curry chicken wings swap out traditional buffalo sauce for a sweet and warming curry dry rub that’s completely different from the wings you’re used to. The curry spice blend brings layers of flavor – sweet, mildly spicy, and aromatic – while two simple tricks guarantee perfectly crispy wings. K'hsasumi shamelessly added these to the menu since they reminded her of the Equalizer's owner. Meaty, sweet, and spicy.
Ahi Tuna Poke a base of sushi rice, marinated raw ahi tuna, and a variety of toppings like avocado, cucumber, and edamame. The tuna is tossed in a marinade of soy sauce and sesame oil, while common toppings include scallions, sesame seeds, and spicy mayo for extra flavor.
Crab Rangoons a savory filling, typically made from cream cheese, crab (or imitation crab), and seasonings, folded into a crispy wonton wrapper and then deep-fried or baked. They are often served with a sweet and sour sauce or sweet chili sauce.
Blooming Onion a large, deep-fried appetizer made from a single sweet onion that is sliced from the top to create a flower-like appearance before being battered and fried until golden and crispy. It is served with a creamy, zesty dipping sauce.
Roasted Caprese Burrata Sliders slow roasted cherry tomatoes with red Fresno peppers, thyme, and olive oil served over toasted brioche slider buns and topped off with mini fresh balls of burrata cheese.
Down the hallway and past the office and rooms located to other members if the Company is a large, newly renovated library. After the leader's husband, Malphas, expressed a dream of hosting his own book club K'hasumi made it happen.Within a few weeks she had a room cleared out, furniture and books ordered, contractors hired, and in no time at all gifted him his own library just for that. On the shelves fellow book lovers can find fiction, non-fiction, anything from thrillers, romance, or tomes belonging to history.Of course those who are there to only be social there is a mini-bar filled with wine, coffee, tea, and snacks.
OOC . This is a IC/SFW RP event that happens every other Monday in the upstairs library at 8pm EST. It usually ends around 10pm EST, but for those who wish to continue their conversations or finish their drinks and snacks are welcomed to stay longer. Even though it is a SFW RP event, there may be talk of Spicy Romance novels as a warning. But nothing should be discussed about them in graphic detail.By no means do you need to be reading IRL, this is purely a social event to make friends and connections. If your character enjoys books, wants to get into reading, wants to socialize, or just simply want to learn to read in Eorzean they are more than welcome to join us.
